11 March, 2021, we held a small seminar for presenting the research results by Ms. Tran Thanh Mai (Dalat Nuclear Research Institute, VINATOM) and Mr. Vo Van Tien (Center for Nuclear Technology, VINATOM), who are from Vietnam with the support of the Nuclear Researcher Exchange Program FY2020, MEXT. In addition, the staffs, and students in IREM, and Vietnamese scientists also participated in this seminar through the Zoom meeting. Ms. Tran conducted her research in the Department of Risk Analysis and Biodosimetry. Her presented topic was “The practical analysis of biodosimetry”. Next, Mr. Vo presented about his study on “the radon and thoron measurement and the chemical analysis of radioactive cesium and strontium”. His researches were conducted in the Department of Radiation Measurement and Physical Dosimetry. Moreover, they also introduced the situation regarding radiation science research in Vietnam. We are expected that they will become a bridge for the joint research network between the Vietnam and the IREM, Hirosaki University.
