The 67^th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Radiation Research Society (JRRS) was held in-person at Kitakyushu city, Fukuoka, Japan between September 25^th to 28^th, 2024. The annual meeting’s theme focused on “Lets talk! The foundation of future radiation issues” with major topics in medical exposure, radiation education, effects of low-dose radiation and others. At the conference, Ms. Yuna Sakai, a graduate student (M1) at the Institute of Radiation Emergency Medicine, Hirosaki University, gave a poster presentation on “Mitigating inhalation exposure with medical and general masks”. Ms. Yuna Sakai received the Best Presentation Award for her research at the conference.
