Dr. Norbert Kavasi (the Joseph Stephan Institute, Slovenia) provided a lecture entitled the contamination status of strontium-90 after the Fukushima nuclear accident on 26th April (Mon). Many students participated in this seminar and it was a great success. Dr Kavasi is conducting research to apply advanced analytical techniques such as solid-phase extraction and mass spectrometry to trace element and radionuclide analysis, which is common research topic as well as the Department of Radiochemistry and Radioecology. After the seminar, we discussed the possibility of future joint research.
