From September 12th to 24th, 5 researchers from the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN) and a lecturer from Health Polytechnic of Mamuju, Indonesia, visited the Institute of Radiation Emergency Medicine (IREM). This visit aimed to discuss future collaborative research, perform the calibration of passive and active radon thoron monitors with the Department of Radiation Measurement and Physical Dosimetry, and conduct a joint study for heavy metal exposure and tritium analyses with the Department of Radiochemistry and Radioecology and the Department of International Cooperation and Collaborative Research. IREM has been strengthening its collaboration with relevant organizations in Indonesia, and we will continue to do so in order to gain a thorough understanding of the health impacts of radiation and heavy metal exposure.
