The X Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Medical, Biological and Environmental Issues in Uranium Mining Regions” was held at Astana Medical University (AMU) in Kazakhstan on April 18, 2024. We have been working with the AMU researchers to solve problems such as measurement of radon, evaluation of radiation dose, reduction of radon in houses, and health effects due to radiation exposure in uranium mining areas in Kazakhstan. At this conference, Professor Shinji Tokonami and Drs.
