From March 8 to 11, Prof. Shinji Tokonami (Director of IREM), Dr. Chutima Kranrod (Department of International Cooperation and Collaborative Research), Mr.Worawat Poltabtim (second-year PhD student at the Graduate School of Health Sciences), Ms. Khemruthai Kheamsiri (second-year MSc. student at the Graduate School of Health Sciences), and Ms.Saowarak Musikawan (first-year MSc. student at the Graduate School of Health Sciences) visited Kanchanuri Province, Thailand. They participated in a joint workshop between the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) Thailand and Hiroaki University and conducted field investigations on radiation measurement in the area of old tin and tungsten mines in E-Tong village, Kanchanaburi. The workshop and field experiment were intended to provide an opportunity for our organizations to learn more about natural radiation measurements, especially the measurement of natural background gamma radiation in cars, indoor radon and thoron and their measurement, and aerosols such as PM-2.5, PM10, and PM1. The event was attended by 20 participants from the Department of Physics, Ramkhamhaeng University, The Nuclear and radiation Divisions, OAP attended the event.

We hope that our visit and expertise will contribute to the revitalization of our institute and OAP and lead to further collaboration and communication in the near future.
