From February 16th to 21st, Prof. Tibor Kovács of University of Pannonia, Hungary, visited the Insitute of Radiation Emergency Medicine (IREM). The purpose of this visit was to discuss the results and scientific findings of the research activities supported by JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number JP17KK0015 (Department of Radiochemistry and Radioecology, IREM). Prof. Tibor Kovács is also a research professor of IREM so further scientific discussion was carried out for future projects.
In addition, Prof. Tibor Kovács gave a lecture titled “Study of Radiochemistry and Radioecology and its Application” to our institute’s faculty and students. The lecture was about his research, which included topics of atmospheric dispersion modeling, radiochemistry, and radioecology. The topics included in the lecture were informational and useful to participants because these are all related to ongoing research projects at IREM. Our institute would like to thank Prof. Tibor Kovács for his valuable lecture and time.
