① Commemorative photo at AMS-CMU.

From the 2nd – 8th February, Prof. Shinji Tokonami (Director of IREM), Dr. Chutima Kranrod and Dr. Ryohei Yamada visited Chiang Mai, Thailand. In order to give lectures and conduct the field surveys.
Three lecture topics were given by Prof. Tokonami, who was invited to be a visiting professor at the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS) of Chiang Mai University (CMU), to undergraduate students, graduate students and its faculty members. These lectures were followed by a very active discussion session, indicating the high interest level of participants.
As for the field survey, we measured the ambient dose equivalent rates, the aerosol particle size distributions and the concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 at various area in Chiang Mai Province with CMU’s researchers.
We hope, our visiting will contribute the revitalization of our institute and CMU, and lead to further collaboration and communication in the near future, including the acquirement of competitive research fund.
