We participated in the opening ceremony of “Hamadori Regional Design Center Namie” established by the National University Corporation Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as the University of Tokyo) and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. This regional center supports community development of the Hamadori area in Fukushima Prefecture. At the event, Hirosaki University’s Department of Radiochemistry and Radioecology Research Professor Dr. Akata and Department of Radiation Emergency Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Kikuchi introduced their universities reconstruction support activities in Namie Town. They also exchanged opinions with residents and graduate students about cooperation with the Hamadori Regional Design Center.
